Tight 5

Presented by HOWL! Happening and now in its second year, Tight 5 is a comedy series curated and hosted by comedian and performer Greer Dworman. A come-as-you-are comedy show billed with performers willing to try stand-up for the first time ever. Universally agreed upon as the scariest thing anyone will ever do (questionably an exaggeration), Tight 5 prompts performers to “Try it. Just try it!" or "Let go and let god!"

Tight 5 comes from Dworman’s early and present experience in the comedy world--recognizing the need for a reimagined model to try your comedic voice in a room built for everyone’s success, comics and audiences alike.

Howl! Happening curates exhibitions and stages live events that showcase the historical legacy and contemporary culture of the East Village and Lower East Side. It is also dedicated to preserving the archives of artists who spent their creative lives working in this vibrant community and houses the Estates of artist Arturo Vega and renowned performance artist, Tom Murrin aka The Alien Comic. The history of the East Village is still being written and Howl Happening aims to shine a light on the mix of rock and roll, social justice, art and performance, community activism, gay rights and culture, immigrants, fashion, and nightlife in the heart of the community where groundbreaking creativity and influential ideas still thrive.
